Time - What it Can Mean for the Vancouver Island Seller

Frustration can arise when some homes sell quickly and the owner has to pay what they perceive to be a big commission. What they don’t realize is that when it comes to real estate, time is definitely of the essence. Normally, a new home listed on the Vancouver Island market will get the most attention during the first few days. During this time, the seasoned salesperson will do everything to ensure that all marketing options available are utilized. If done right, the seller may be fortunate enough to have their home sold very quickly. That doesn’t mean they didn’t get good value for their money. Remember, you pay for performance - not by the hour.

Normally a quick real estate sale means that a salesperson helped the owner price the home correctly and presented the property to prospective buyers using any or all marketing resources available. The home doesn’t have to be perfect at all times for showings and open houses. There’s no worry about carrying costs if one home isn’t sold before the purchase of the next. However, the fact that a sellers home is sold first is a strong factor in negotiations to purchase a new home.
